Reflection on No Place for Hate Night

Yesterday we had our True No Place for Hate night and it was great. Even though we didn't have the 30 minute rotations I think everyone naturally went from nutrition to role playing to art and then sports. Something that I think didn't work to well was the monkey survey and the passports. When people walked up to the welcoming desk they could see role playing going on and they could see food so they really didn't care about the monkey surveys. For the passports, some kids could just get a stamp from each station but not do the actual activity because they knew they had a chance to get a prize when they turned their passport in.
For my group role playing I think it went great. The kids were really into what we were doing and they listened. When we asked for volunteers there were lots of hands that went up to come and do the script drama. When I did the improv drama it actually built up my confidence because usually I don't like to be in front of a large amount of people.

I think the event was not only a discovery for the kids who attended our event but also for us(students of Mrs.Gilboa's class)depending on what we did at our station.
