Fun at Blue Bayou and Dixie Landin' in Baton Rouge, LA

This past monday my cuzins, siblings and I went to a water and amuesment park in Baton rouge, Lousiana. Blue Bayou is the water park and Dixie Landin' is the amusement park.

One of the rides I rode was the conja. The conja was a huge white waterslide that you go down in a raft with like 4 or 5 people. There was 10 flights of stairs before you actually got to the top; but in the end it was worth it. I had so much fun. If you swished from side to side when the big turns came you would go so high in the air.

The next ride I rode was the racers. On the racers you grabbed a mat and then you went to the top. Basically there was a stop and go sign in front of you. When it lit up green you went down a water slide that had lots of bumps that got bigger and longer before you were parallel to the ground again. At the same time you were racing. The trick to winning the race was to lift your mat and upper body when you got to the bump in the slide. I raced my cousin Jackson and I beat him. While we were going to the top he was acting all confident and stuff and then the race happened and he didn't have anything to say. It was hilarious!!

Then I rode the High Water. The high water was like any normal water slide except it had a lot of drops that could be at least 10 ft. long. It was really scary and fun at the same time.

Next I rode the awsome twosome. The whole time you were in the slide you were getting swished from side to side while it was pitch black with a little shine in the slide. Not to mention it was really hot!! It felt like a steam room or a sauna. Although the heat didn't stop the fun.

We also went to Pirate's cove. Pirate's Cove was made up of about 5 slides that were just normal for younger kids but we rode them anyway. We kept losing our cousins to the point that it was making us laugh. It was sad but hilarious all at the same time!!

When we weren't riding rides we were in the Hurricane Bay (wave pool). After a while it got annoying because the waves would take forever to come on. The waves weren't on any timer, whenever the buzzer would go off then that meant that the waves were coming on.

When Blue Bayou closed we went over to Dixie Landin'. At Dixie Landin' one of the rides I rode with my cousin Zack and sis Summer was the Pirate. It was really funny because when ever you went in the air it made you laugh. We got swung from side to side and at first I was scared to ride it but it turned out to be alright.

Then we rode the rainbow. On the rainbow you went in circles (not like spinning ) but like starting at the ground then going higher and higher into the air then we'd come down and do the same thing about 5 times more then it'd go the opposite way. When you came down there was like a tickle in your stomach and it made you laugh really hard. As my aunt watched she wondered why we were laughing when it looked like the scariest ride ever but it was all because of the tickle in our stomachs.

I also rode the roller coaster. It was really fun and scary all at the same time because sometimes when the turns came you were almost like completely sideways and you felt like you were going to fall out. I'm so glad that bar was there to stop us from falling out otherwise it would've been bye bye Brookie.

Overall my time and Blue Bayou and Dixie Landin' was really fun. Although there were some moments where I wanted to scream or cry I really enjoyed myself. I reccomend you go there it is loads of fun!!!!
